St. Norbert Sweeps NCHA Quarterfinals Series

DE PERE - St. Norbert College extended its unbeaten streak in the quarterfinal round of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Playoffs to 50 following an 8-1 rout of Concordia University Wisconsin in the second game of a Harris Cup Playoffs series at Cornerstone Community Center.

The Green Knights (19-6-2), ranked No. 5 in the USCHO.com Division III Poll, have now won 25 consecutive NCHA Playoffs quarterfinal series, going 49-0-1 in those games. Including some years where it received a bye out of the quarterfinals, St. Norbert has claimed each quarterfinal series it has played in since the 1995-96 season. Calvin Hanson's rocket from the right circle after a crisp feed from Jack Christen was good for a power-play goal at 11:25. Logan Dombrowsky's deke from the crease was good for a 2-0 lead at 16:46.

The Green Knights carried a 5-1 lead into second intermission. St. Norbert outshot Concordia 22-10 in the second period.
