LISLE, Ill. - St. Norbert College couldn't overcome a tough fourth quarter en route to dropping its first Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game of the season in a 77-65 setback to Benedictine University at Rice Center.
The Green Knights (12-6, 12-1 NACC) yielded 30 fourth-quarter points in seeing a one-point deficit turn into a 12-point defeat.
St. Norbert led 14-12 after the first quarter and 33-30 at halftime before the Eagles took a 47-46 lead after three quarters. Benedictine then blistered the nets in the fourth quarter, making 8 of 11 field-goal attempts to pull away.
The Green Knights were 27-for-69 (39.1 percent) from the floor.
Taylor Thiry had 17 points and 11 rebounds, while
Rose Hahn (pictured) and
Oakley Witteck had 14 points apiece.
Benedictine shot 51 percent (26-for-51) from the floor. Alison Jarvis led the Eagles with 21 points.
