DE PERE – St. Norbert College junior Eden Maranell and freshman Kayla Wesaw have been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference's Track and Field Athletes of the Week, announced today by the conference office.  

Maranell, a Howards Grove native and graduate, recorded the best long jump mark in the conference at the Crossroads of America Invitational, going for 18 feet 4 1/2 inches. Her mark is currently tied for the 17th best in NCAA Division III this season. 

Wesaw, a Sheyboygan native and South High School graduate, set the NACC's second-best time in the 3000-meter run this season, clocking in at 19:37.34 at the Crossroads of America Invitational.  

The award is the eighth for Maranell and the first for Wesaw in their careers.
