WAUWATOSA – St. Norbert College was clipped by a late second half goal at Wisconsin Lutheran College in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Warriors Soccer Field.
The Green Knights (1-7) had the better chances in the first half, with a shot from Addie Schneider (pictured) and two from Paige Westerman in the opening 20 minutes causing some alarm for Wisconsin Lutheran.
Meredith Poskanski came close at 63:06 to breaking the deadlock, but it was the Warriors who found the back of the net off a goal from Ginny Shade at 73:29 that proved the difference. The Green Knights had five further shots after conceding, with Kaelei Garrity's coming the closet at 75:46 and forcing a save.
The Green Knights outshot Wisconsin Lutheran 15-8 and led in corners 3-2. Taylor Wilson made three saves.
Posanski led St. Norbert with four shots while Westerman had three. Shelby Busch and Abigail Rabideau each had two.
