ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Norbert College opened its 2025 season with a narrow 1-0 loss to St. Catherine's University, conceding a goal in the second half in a non-conference game at St. Kate's Field.  

The Green Knights were bombarded by over a dozen shots in the first half, forcing keeper Taylor Wilson (pictured) to make eight saves in the opening 45 minutes. Gracie Adrian and Danielle Dewar had St. Norbert's best looks on goal in the first half, forcing two saves from Brianna Valdez.  

Wilson made four saves to open the second half before the Wildcat pressure finally paid off at 62:12 when Natalie Pfleger scored the game-winning goal. Abigail Rabideau had a chance to level the game at 86:23, but her attempt was saved by Valdez in what proved to be St. Norbert's final chance on goal.  

The Green Knights finished with five shots, three of which hit on target. Taylor Wilson made 13 saves, while Valdez made three stops for St. Catherine.  

St. Norbert was outgained in corner kicks 9-1 while committing eight fouls to the Wildcats two.
