ORLANDO, Fla. - St. Norbert College opened its annual trip to Florida with two non-conference duals against Otterbein University and Ava Maria University, falling 7-0 in both duals at UTSA Campus.
Against Otterbein on Friday, the Green Knights had several close contests, including at the No. 1 doubles spot where Jackson Harpt and Brett Daniels fell 6-4 to Neil Reddy and Max Fickas. The closest singles match for St. Norbert was Nolan Pearson at the No. 5 singles, losing 6-4, 6-1 to Nikita Kitaev.
Against Ave Maria on Saturday, the Green Knights nearly took the doubles point against the Gyrenes, with Harpt and Daniels again falling 6-4 in the No. 1 slot for doubles to Joao Felipe Almedia and Anderson Duggan. Joe Pellechia and Pearson also fell by the same score at No. 3 doubles to Gianmarco Punzo and Julien Mourad.
St. Norbert will resume action against Colby-Sawyer College on Monday at 2 p.m. EDT.
