DE PERE - St. Norbert College restarted its season by opening the spring portion with a pair of non-conference matches at Green Bay Tennis Center. The Green Knights opened with a 7-0 loss to Hamline University and a 5-2 setback to Augustana College.
The Green Knights picked up one win in doubles action against Hamline, with
Madeline Diefenthaler and
Grace McCune taking a 6-3 victory over Anya Sugden and Emily Dreger at No. 3.
In singles against the Pipers, the Green Knights had a pair of three-set losses.
Jordan Domnick fell 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-7) to Vanessa Pham at No. 1, while
Allison Unverzagt dropped a 7-5, 6-7 (2-7), 1-0 (10-6) decision to Cora Anderson at No. 2.
Against Augustana, Unverzagt turned away Maripaz Ramirez 6-0, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7) at No. 2 singles.
Anna Vechart (pictured) fashioned a 6-2, 6-7 (4-7), 1-0 (10-5) win over Hattie Timerman at No. 6.
