
GRINNELL, Iowa – St. Norbert College picked up two more individual conference championships en route to a second-place team finish at the Midwest Conference Championship held at Grinnell College's Osgood Pool.
The Green Knights totaled 696 points, to finish comfortably ahead of third-place Lake Forest College's 536 points. Grinnell won the team championship with 929 points.
Lacy Geurts (pictured) had a big day by winning the 100-yard freestyle, in a Midwest Conference-meet and conference-record and St. Norbert-record time of 52.86 seconds. It was her third overall MWC individual title.
Ally Boyer also picked up an individual championship with a win in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing in a St. Norbert-record time of 2:21.63.
The 400-yard freestyle relay of Boyer,
Alisha Draeger,
Katherine Thompson and Geurts finished third with a time of 3:36.72.
Lexi LaCombe was third in the 1,650-yard freestyle in 18:29.55, while
Prudence Rosko was seventh in 18:42.43. Draeger was fifth in the 100 freestyle in 53.96 seconds.
Emma Dees was sixth in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:12.57, with
Megan Pierce eighth in 2:15.26. Rosko finished seventh in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:26.79, while
Keyilah Justus was eighth in 2:31.18.
Sarah Kahl was seventh in the 200 breaststroke in 2:32.68, with
Ella Lawrence finishing eighth in 2:36.34.
