
GRINNELL, Iowa – St. Norbert College had a solid second day at the Midwest Conference Championship, hosted by Grinnell College at Osgood Pool.
The Green Knights remained in second place with a total of 472 points. Grinnell leads with 596 points, while Lake Forest College is in third place with 372 points.
St. Norbert had one conference champion and four runner-up finishes on Day 2.
Adelle Polzin captured the conference championship in 3-meter diving, posting a St. Norbert-record total of 384.80 points.
Alisha Draeger (pictured) was one of three second-place finishers in individual events, timing 58.45 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke.
Lacy Geurts was second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:55.02, while
Ally Boyer took silver in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:06.84.
The 200-yard medley relay of
Megan Pierce, Boyer, Geurts and Draeger was second in 1:48.22.
Sanya Wienke finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.80 and added a seventh-place finish in the 400-yard individual medley in 4:50.17.
Emma Dees set a school record in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:46.34.
Katherine Thompson was sixth in the 200 freestyle in 1:59.22, while
Lexi LaCombe was seventh in 2:00.16. Keyliah Justus rounded out St. Norbert's "A" finalists with an eighth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:01.69.
