Green Knights Roll at Dominican

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – St. Norbert College showed no signs of slowing its winning streak down as the Green Knights rolled to a 91-55 win over Dominican University in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Igini Sports Forum.

The Green Knights (15-3, 10-0 NACC) won their eighth straight as they held a double-digit advantage for most of the game.

Falling behind 5-2 to start the game, Casey Jepson hit a 3-pointer to give the game's last tie at 8:43 in the first quarter before a 22-6 run from St. Norbert turned the game on its head. Taylor Thiry had 10 points in just the first 10 minutes, while Emma Morrisey hit several shots from beyond the arc.

St. Norbert's 3-point shooting expanded the lead to a 44-23 advantage at halftime, with the Green Knights hitting six in the first half and shooting nearly 50 percent from the mark.

The Stars would open the third quarter on a 7-0 run in the first minute of the second half, but the might of the Green Knights continued to show as they had their best quarter of the day with a 28-point outburst. St. Norbert would allow just one field goal in the final 7:46 of the third quarter, while Morrisey again continued to hit shot after shot from three, finishing with seven makes from beyond the arc.

Makayla Hayes (pictured) was the main offensive threat in the fourth quarter, scoring eight of St. Norbert's 19 points in the final 10 minutes.

St. Norbert shot 50.7 percent from the floor (34-for-67) and 45.5 percent from three (10-for-22). Morrisey scored a season-and career-high 27 points, while Rose Hahn had 19 points and nine rebounds.
