DE PERE – St. Norbert College skipped past Aurora University 3-1 in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Resch Olympic Pavilion, scoring two goals in the third period to break a 1-1 deadlock.
The Green Knights (5-2, 4-1 NCHA), ranked No. 8 in the USCHO.com Division III poll, got back to winning ways with three different goalscorers in the victory.
After a goalless first period, Maleiyah Streck (pictured) scored her second of the season in the early stages of the second period at 3:02 for a 1-0 lead. The Spartans responded at 15:32 with a point blank shot from Ellie Krueger after several puck bounces to make it 1-1.
St. Norbert regained the lead for good at 6:51 in the third period from Maddie Madden, while Claire Healy scored on a power play at 14:39 to make it 3-1.
The Green Knights outshot Aurora 43-17. Tanith Plachetka made 16 saves for the Green Knights while Macy Blooming made 40 for Aurora.
Healy finished the game with two points, scoring one goal and providing one assist. Anna Rausch, Emily Bill, Tristan Wicklund, Ava Anick and Abby Pieper all recorded one assist.
The Green Knights went 1-for-2 on the power play. Aurora went 0-for-2.
