GREEN BAY – St. Norbert College suffered through a cold shooting night and dropped a 75-48 decision to UW-Green Bay in an exhibition game at Kress Center
The Green Knights connected on just 30.9 percent (17-for-55) of their shots from the floor and were a frigit 2-for-20 (10 percent) from beyond the three-point arc.
St. Norbert led 5-2 and 7-5 in the early going before the Phoenix slowly pulled away, leading 23-15 with 3:33 left in the first half. A late 10-2 flurry by the host put Green Bay ahead 33-17 at halftime.
The Green Knights got to within 16 points several times in the second half, the last at 47-31 with 11:25 remaining.
Connor Pytleski led the Green Knights with 11 points, while
Cam Lathos added eight points. St. Norbert was only minus-one on the glass, with the rangier Phoenix holding a slim 33-32 edge.
Green Bay shot 53.8 percent (28-for-52) from the floor. Josh Hines led the Phoenix with 13 points.
