DE PERE – St. Norbert cruised to a 5-0 win over Lakeland University, holding a three-goal lead at halftime in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights (10-6) celebrated senior night in style with a third shutout in the last five games. Senior Kevin Ramirez started the scoring at 13:16 from an assist by Kenzo Sly-Umebayashi, while Hayden Dunn's eighth goal of the season came from a free kick nearly 35 yards out to escape Lakeland's grasp. Ben Swicionis (pictured) made it 3-0 at 43:11 thanks to an assist from Thomas Raundalen.
Joe Lewcock evaded Lakeland keeper Conley Sundblad at 72:25 with a Swicionis assist to make it 4-0, while seniors Brock Stephens and Payton Schilz connected moments later at 75:36 for the final goal of the evening, with Stephens recording his second goal of the season.
St. Norbert outshot Lakeland 13-8 and trailed 4-2 in corner kicks. Adan Martinez-Ponce made his first start of the season and made three saves in just over 75 minutes in goal. Substitute Teodor Sand made one save in the final 14:24.
