St. Norbert and Synergy to Enter Strength and Conditioning Partnership

Synergy BannerDE PERE - St. Norbert College Athletics will team up with Synergy as its strength and conditioning partner, athletics director Cam Fuller announced.

Synergy and its staff will oversee strength and conditioning operations for most of the 600-plus St. Norbert student-athletes, effective August 1.

"Synergy has been a game changer in our community and I am excited to join forces to bring their standard of excellence right here to our campus," Fuller said. "This partnership will positively impact our four pillars for success while furthering our commitment to the community through a transformational student-athlete experience."

"We are excited and honored to be entrusted with this responsibility in working with St Norbert College athletes," Synergy founder Scotty Smith said. "Our staff can't wait to get started with these athletes and to help them on their athletic journey, both physically and mentally. Working with athletes is something we never take lightly and understand the level of commitment it takes to achieve goals. We are extremely proud to work with St Norbert College, its athletes, coaches, and families for years to come."

A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in fitness and sport management, Smith has been training athletes for nearly 25 years. He began his career working with the Green Bay Packers, while also working with USHL Junior League Hockey, IFL, AFL and NFL athletes. Smith also has experience working at the collegiate level as well, working with other local student-athletes.

Synergy has a 18,000-square foot training facility located in Hobart, located west of campus near the Green Knights' hockey home, Cornerstone Community Center.
