Dana DeWitt will transition into a full-time assistant coaching position with the St. Norbert College men's and women's swimming and diving teams, head coach
Ryan Goggans announced today.
DeWitt, who has been an assistant coach with the Green Knights for the past five seasons on a part-time basis, will begin her new role May 6.
"We are super excited to be bringing Dana into a full-time role," Goggans said. "The last five years she has contributed greatly to this program's success and has made an impact on every student-athlete with her support and enthusiasm on the pool deck.
"We are lucky to have Dana as she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from coaching and she will be able to help support our training, recruiting and team development efforts every day. I am excited to see what things we can accomplish with her on our staff in a full-time role."
DeWitt has been part of the St. Norbert coaching staff that has witnessed the Green Knights climb the ladder in the Midwest Conference. The St. Norbert men have finished in second place at the Midwest Conference Championship in each of the last two seasons, while the women finished third in 2023 and second in 2024. The second-place finishes are the best conference placements in program history.
"I am honored to be working with the swimming and diving program at St. Norbert College in a much greater capacity," DeWitt said. "The campus community shares a vision that truly supports everyone and it is evident that everyone across campus values the student-athlete experience. The team continues to reach new levels of success and I am excited to be a part of that journey."
Prior to joining the St. Norbert staff in 2019, DeWitt worked for four years as a coach at Green Bay Swim Club. She also had three years of experience as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I UW-Green Bay.
A 2008 graduate of UW-Green Bay with degrees in psychology and human development, she earned a master's degree in kinesiology from the University of Minnesota in 2010.
