DE PERE - St. Norbert College wrapped up the regular season with a 7-0 win over the University of Dubuque to complete a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association series sweep at Resch Olympic Pavilion.
The Green Knights (18-6-1, 13-2-1 NCHA) wasted little time taking control, scoring four times in the first period.
Grace Wittkopf scored just 1:51 into the game for her ninth goal of the season.
Morgan Olson followed at 6:36 to give St. Norbert a 2-0 lead on her 11th goal of the season.
Allison Jacobsen scored for the second time this season with a goal at 16:32, while
Abbie Tollefson scored her sixth marker of the year at 17:28.
Erin Huerta scored the second period's lone goal at 9:11. Huerta added another goal - her first two of the year - at 10:13 of the third period.
Gabby Holtz finished off the scoring with a power-play goal at 14:17, her third overall this year.
Huerta added two assists with her two goals to finish with a four-point game.
Maddie Madden and
Courtnie Hogan each had three assists to finish with three-point games.
Jo Mahlum posted two assists for two points, while Olson had an assist to also finish with a two-point game.
St. Norbert outshot Dubuque 62-12.
Brynn Waisman made three saves in the first 29 minutes, while
Grendel Sprong made nine stops in relief for the Green Knights. Savannah Wuitschick made 55 saves for the Spartans.
St. Norbert was 1-for-3 on the power play, while Dubuque was 0-for-3.
