RIVER FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College won its second consceutive Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match with a 3-1 win over Concordia University Chicago at Geiseman Gymnasium.

The Green Knights (9-10, 2-1 NACC) topped the Cougars 25-19, 21-25, 25-12, 25-21.

St. Norbert trailed Concordia 18-17 in Set 1 before going on a 6-0 run behind kills from Maleigha Kovalaska and Mari Szews, followed by four consecutive service aces by Maddie Kitowski for a 23-18 lead. A kill by Szews and an ace from Andrianna Volz locked up a 1-0 lead. In Set 2, St. Norbert led 16-14 before a 5-0 Concordia run put the host ahead 19-16. St. Norbert got to within two points twice but the Cougars tied the match 1-1.

The Green Knights took control in Set 3, building an early 8-3 lead. St. Norbert saw a 15-10 lead extend to 24-11 after a 9-1 run en route to a 2-1 lead. In the fourth set, the Cougars would get to within three points three different times late in the set, but St. Norbert wrapped up the win on its third match point with a Szews kill.

St. Norbert hit .208, registering 51 kills with 19 errors in 154 attempts. Alyssa Mills finished with 14 kills, while Kovalaske had 12 kills. Szews had 11 kills against one error in 18 attempts. Heidi Colburn had 39 assists. Kitowski finished with five aces, while Volz added four.

Kara Sowinski totaled 21 digs, while Kovalaske and Volz each had 11. Colburn had four blocks.

Concordia hit .138 for the match, with 39 kills and 19 errors in 145 attempts. Lili Hunt and Brooke Christensen each had 12 kills for the Cougars.
