DE PERE - St. Norbert College never trailed en route to a 28-10 win over Concordia University Wisconsin in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights (2-3, 2-1 NACC) scored on their opening possession, converting a pair of third downs before scoring when
Patrick Oden ripped off an 11-yard run up the middle to score with 8:57 left in the quarter. St. Norbert would carry that 7-0 lead through the end of the quarter.
Concordia would score on the second play of the second quarter when Logan Navis connected on a 28-yard field goal to cut its deficit to 7-3. After the two teams traded a pair of punts, St. Norbert would cash in when
Peyton Lyon hit
Dylan Rhodes down the middle on a 38-yard touchdown pass for a 14-3 lead with 8:12 left in the second quarter. The Falcons would miss a 47-yard field-goal try with 3:11 left in the half and St. Norbert responded, eventually scoring on a 16-yard touchdown pass from Lyon to
Mitch Van Vooren with 41 seconds left for a 21-3 halftime lead.
The Falcons were backed up deep in their own end before Kekoa Carmichael broke loose for a 74-yard touchdown pass from Roman Funk with 7:26 left in the third quarter. St. Norbert would hold a 21-10 through the end of the third quarter.
Neither team could generate any scoring in the fourth quarter until the St. Norbert defense came up with a game-clinching play.
Brett Boelkow forced a fumble at the Concordia 38-yard line, with
Mason Haessly scooping up the loose ball and returning it for a defensive touchdown with 3:41 remaining.
St. Norbert outgained Concordia 335-287 in total offense. Oden rushed 29 times for 153 yards, while Lyon completed 12 of 24 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Van Vooren caught three passes for 51 yards.
Funk accounted for most of Concordia's offense, completing 17 of 34 passes for 279 yards with one touchdown and one interception. The Falcons gained just eight yards on the ground.

Daylan Lujan registered three quarterback sacks for 26 yards in losses.
