MEQUON - St. Norbert College picked up its second overtime win in as many nights as the Green Knights captured a 3-2 victory over Concordia University Wisconsin in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Ozaukee Ice Center.
The Green Knights (12-5, 10-2 NCHA) picked up the win when
Brock Baker dropped a pass to
Adam Stacho, who buried the pick at 3:48 of overtime for his tenth goal of the season. St. Norbert swept the home-and-home series with Concordia with a pair of overtime wins, taking a 4-3 win Friday in De Pere on
Logan Dombrowsky's marker.
St. Norbert fell behind when Concordia's Alex Ochtiwa scored at 17:31 of the first period. Neither team would score again until Dombrowsky converted a power-play goal at 11:44 of the second period, his eighth of the season. The game would remain deadlocked at 1-1 through second intermission.
The Falcons scored a power-play goal of their own when Noah Roitman finished at 3:11 for a 2-1 lead. St. Norbert would go on a five-minute power play midway through the third period and capitalized when
Will Stromp scored at the 14-minute mark. The game remained tied at 2-2 until Stacho's overtime goal.
Baker finished with two assists for the Green Knights' lone multi-point game.
St. Norbert was credited with outshooting Concordia 63-23.
Hunter Garvey made 21 saves for the Green Knights, while Gabe Rosek made 60 stops for the Falcons.
St. Norbert was 2-for-6 on the power play, while Concordia was 1-for-3.
