
STEVENS POINT - St. Norbert College women's tennis opened its season with a split of non-conference matches, falling to UW-Stevens Point 9-0 before rebounding to top Ripon College 8-1 at University Courts.
The Green Knights took two of three doubles points against the Red Hawks.
Hannah Starr and
Mayghan Bongle topped Chase Polyak and Hadley Berendsen 8-1 at No. 1, while
Alyssa Tegen and
Grace McCune stopped Yeva Pipan and Isabella DeMeuse 8-1 at No. 3.
Starr outlasted Polyak 3-6, 6-3, 10-5 at No. 1 singles, while
Grace Peters beat Berendsen 7-5, 6-0 at No. 2.
Anna Vechart beat Allison Pavlovec 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3, while
Paige Diercks defeated Emma Ziebell 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4. Bongle bettered Pipan 6-0, 6-3 at No. 5, while Anna Krupa beat DeMeuse 6-4, 6-4 at No. 6.
