DE PERE – St. Norbert College was stopped by Dominican University in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference doubleheader at Miron Construction Field. The Green Knights lost both games by scores of 3-0 and 2-0.
Dominican scored all the runs it would need in the opener when it scored twice in the top of the second inning. The Stars added an unearned insurance run in the seventh inning. The Green Knights had runners in scoring position in the second, third, fifth and seventh innings but did not plate a run.
The Green Knights finished with six hits, with
Grace Engwall going 2-for-2 and
Addison Race 2-for-3. Race took the loss, allowing two earned runs on seven hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
In the nightcap, Dominican scored the game's first run with a single tally in the top of the fifth inning. The Stars gained an insurance run in the sixth.
St. Norbert outhit Dominican 8-6 in the nightcap.
Allison Ardito was 2-for-2, while
Elizabeth Stuebs was 2-for-3. Stuebs took the complete-game loss, allowing six hits with one walk and seven strikeouts.
