DE PERE - St. Norbert College's historic men's tennis season came to an end with a 5-1 loss to Milwaukee School of Engineering in a semifinal match of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament at Green Bay Tennis Center.
The Green Knights (11-7) finished with their first winning season and most overall wins since 2009 and captured a share of their first-ever conference title with MSOE and Illinois Institute of Technology.
St. Norbert got its only point in doubles play, when
Anthony Michels and
Brian Coulter topped Josh Fay and Alex Nakasato 8-6.
Brett Daniels and
Adam Stacho dropped an 8-6 decision at No. 1 to Miguel Lopez and Clark Rue.
The Green Knights lost three singles matches to bring the dual to a conclusion. Daniels was leading Joe Chong 6-4, 5-3 in an unfinished match at No. 1 singles.
