OSHKOSH - St. Norbert College opened up the northern portion of its schedule with a doubleheader at UW-Oshkosh, falling 5-2 and 8-0 in a pair of non-conference games at the Rec Plex Dome.
St. Norbert got two runs in the first inning of the opener.
Ava Engwall singled and
Lilly Haase was hit by a pitch.
Paige Diercks then hit a ball to center field that was erred by the Titans, allowing Engwall and Haase to both score.
The No. 22-ranked Titans would answer with two runs in the second, one run in the fourth and two more runs in the fifth to rally.
St. Norbert finished with two hits.
Addison Race took the loss for the Green Knights, scattering 12 hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
In the nightcap, Oshkosh scored five runs in the third inning, one run in the fourth and two runs in the fifth. The Green Knights had one hit off Oshkosh pitcher Sydney Nemetz, who struck out 10.
Elizabeth Stuebs took the loss for St. Norbert, allowing four earned runs on eight hits with one walk and one strikeout in four innings pitched.
