PLYMOUTH - St. Norbert College and Lakeland University met for the 100th time on the hardcourt, with the Green Knights claiming an 84-66 victory in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Woltzen Gym.

The Green Knights and Muskies first met on Jan. 27, 1933, but were playing for just the sixth time since 1983. St. Norbert improved to 68-32 in the all-time series, which is the most wins for the Green Knights against any opponent.

St. Norbert never trailed and the game was tied only once, coming in the early stages at 3-3. The Green Knights held a 7-5 lead before going on a 16-7 run to take a 23-12 advantage. A Brandt Wilson jumper, an Aidan Harrington 3-pointer and an Evan Glaser hoop put the Green Knights ahead 23-12 with 10:13 left in the first half. The Muskies got it down to 26-19 with 7:37 left, but the Green Knights responded with an 11-1 run. Carter Gebler got the skein going with a 3-pointer, followed by baskets from Garrett Grzesk and Connor Pytleski. Nickolai had a pair of free throws and Wilson another hoop in the paint to put St. Norbert up 37-20. Pytleski's jumper in the paint sent the Green Knights into halftime up 47-25.

The Green Knights maintained their lead throughout the second half, leading by as much as 24 at 68-44 with 8:24 left on a Nickolai hoop. The Muskies got to within 17 points three times late but no closer.

St. Norbert shot 55 percent from the floor, making 33 of 60 field-goal attempts. The Green Knights also held a 38-24 rebounding advantage. Nickolai and Gebler - both Sheboygan County natives - had 16 points apiece, while Glaser finished with 14. Pytleski added nine points and six rebounds in 15 minutes off the bench.

Lakeland shot 41.1 percent (23-for-56) from the floor and was 8-for-28 (23-for-56) from beyond the three-point arc. Cam Jaeger led the Muskies with 28 points, while Brayden Kennedy added 19 points.
