DE PERE - St. Norbert College finished its fall season with a strong 9-0 win over Marian University in a Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference dual match against Marian University at Green Bay Tennis Center.
The Green Knights took care of doubles play starting with
Mayghan Bongle and
Hannah Starr's 8-1 win over Aeryn Olson and Kendall Pliner at No. 1.
Grace Peters and
Anna Vechart defeated Melana Brunton and Josephine Bruch 8-0 at No. 2, while
Grace McCune and
Paige Diercks topped Hazel Duchemin and Abby Okon 8-7 at No. 3.
Starr claimed a 6-2, 7-6 win over Olson at No. 1 singles. Peters topped Brunton 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2, while Bongle defeated Plinter 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3. Vechart topped Okon 6-2, 6-4 at No. 4, while
Alyssa Tegen fashioned a 6-4, 6-1 win over Duchemin at No. 5.
Irene Multhauf beat Bruch 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6.
St. Norbert has clinched a post-season spot and will play in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament in late April 2024.
