
DE PERE – St. Norbert College has named
Ryan Petersen as associate head coach for men's hockey, head coach
Tim Coghlin announced today.
Petersen, a 2009 St. Norbert graduate, captained the Green Knights' first national championship team in 2008 and was an assistant coach under Coghlin for the school's fourth national title in 2014.
Petersen was an assistant coach on the St. Norbert staff from 2012 to 2015. Petersen spent the last five years as an assistant coach for the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League. He also spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Lawrence University and one season as an aide for the USHL's Madison Capitols.

Ryan Petersen back to our staff," Coghlin said. "He has honed his craft behind the bench for the past 12 years at the NCAA level and in the USHL. He has been instrumental in developing Division I athletes, NHL draft picks, and will be a huge part of what we do here next."

A North St. Paul, Minn., native, Petersen skated as a forward for the Green Knights from 2006 to 2009. Playing in 119 games, Petersen scored 34 goals and 39 assists for 73 points. He was the team captain in 2008 and 2009.
