Green Knights Fall In NACC Tournament

CHICAGO - St. Norbert College faced Illinois Institute of Technolgy in the first round of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament and came up on the short end of a 2-0 decision in a first-round matchup at Stuart Field.

The Green Knights (9-12) fell behind early when the Scarlet Hawks (17-2-2) got a goal from Allison Murray at the 8:58 mark. St. Norbert would trail 1-0 for the next 70 minutes, but Illinois Tech added an insurance goal by Kelly Hitchcock at 79:53.

Illinois Tech outshot St. Norbert 33-5 and was also whistled for offsides 12 times.

Abby Thompson had two shots for the Green Knights, who got nine saves from Lilly Collins in goal.
