
DE PERE - St. Norbert College played its first two home matches of the season, dropping a pair of battles by scores of 3-2 to UW-Oshkosh and 3-1 to UW-Stevens Point at Mulva Family Fitness and Sports Center.
The Green Knights led 13-8 in the decisive fifth set against Oshkosh but the Titans went on a 7-0 run to close out the match and win 25-18, 15-25, 22-25, 25-16, 15-13. St. Norbert then lost to Stevens Point 23-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-13.
St. Norbert had 51 kills against Oshkosh but had 34 errors in 187 attempts to hit .091.
Brooke Clement had a match-high 12 kills, while
Emily Terry had 11 and
Grace Baumann 10.
Devon Nardoni finished with 25 assists and
Ellie Hartson added 16.
Liz Maastricht led the back row with 34 digs, while Baumann and Clement had 15 apiece and Nardoni 14.
Linnea Svennes had four blocks and Clement three. The Green Knights were also done in by 13 service errors to Oshkosh's five.
Against Stevens Point, the Green Knights hit .102 (42-27-147) while the Pointers hit .231 (49-16-143). Baumann was the only Green Knight to register in double-digit kills with 17. Hartson had 24 assists and Nardoni 12.
Maastricht again led the back row with 28 digs, while Baumann added 17. Hartson had two blocks, while Nardoni had a pair of service aces.
