
DE PERE - St. Norbert College had three different players score their first goals of the season to lift the Green Knights to a 3-1 win over Concordia University Chicago in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at a blustery Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights (5-3-1, 4-0 NACC) took a 1-0 lead midway through the first half when
Max Censky's free kick was played to
Mitchell Scholz, who crossed to
Caden Etzel for a finish directly out front for a clean finish at the 21:25 mark. St. Norbert got a valuable insurance goal just before halftime when
Willem van den Akker's free kick went to
Ethan Engelken, whose header found the cage at 43:46.
The two-goal lead held up until
Matthew Wright finished with a header off a
Lucas Rojas corner at the 85:14 mark. The Cougars would get a consolation goal with five seconds left on a marker by Michael Frank.
St. Norbert outshot Concordia 13-7 and had a 5-1 edge in corner kicks. The Cougars had a 17-11 edge in fouls.
Daniel Yurk turned in a two-save performance in goal for St. Norbert, while Nicholas Pasut had five tops for Concordia.
