
DECORAH, Iowa - St. Norbert College battled unbeaten Luther College into overtime but ended up dropping a 2-1 outcome to the Norse in a non-conference match.
Luther's Faydane Ouro-Akondo scored the game-winner off a cross at the 94:40 mark.
St. Norbert drew first blood when
Mitchell Scholz scored at 23:53 for his third goal of the season. Scholz finished off a corner kick with
Lucas Rojas assisting. The goal held up through the first half as the Green Knights took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
Ouro-Akondo then scored the equalizer at 55:19 to tie the game at 1-1.
Luther outshot St. Norbert 14-5, including 8-3 in the second half. The Norse also had an 8-2 edge in corner kicks.
Daniel Yurk made two saves for the Green Knights, while Carson Davenport made two stops for Luther.
