APPLETON - St. Norbert College continued its best-ever start to a season in program history with a 6-0 win over Lawrence University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Appleton Ice Center.
The Green Knights (5-2, 2-0 NCHA), who have won five of their first seven games to open a season for the first time, also posted their fourth shutout of the young season behind a 14-save shutout by 
Ashley Ommen in her collegiate debut.
St. Norbert took the early lead when 
Gaby Turer scored her first goal of the season at 5:58. 
Morgan Olson pushed the Green Knights ahead 2-0 after one period on a goal at 15:18. Olson registered a power-play goal at 10:14 of the second period to boost her season output to nine, with the Green Knights carrying a 3-0 lead into second intermission.
The Green Knights put the game away with three third-period goals. 
Ava Jaschke scored at 7:28 and a power-play goal at 17:32, sandwiched around a 
Jordan Moore goal at 9:05. Jaschke and Moore each have nine goals on the season.
Jaschke had two assists to go along with her two goals for a four-point afternoon, while Olson added a helper for a three-point game. Moore had an assist for a two-point outing.
St. Norbert outshot Lawrence 35-14. The Green Knights were 2-for-4 on the power play, while the Vikings were 0-for-3.
