CHICAGO - St. Norbert College gave up an early goal but could never get the equalizer and lost 1-0 to Illinois Institute of Technology in a first-round Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament match at Stuart Field.
St. Norbert, which won five of its last seven matches to end the season, finished 10-9-1 overall.
Illinois Tech (14-5-1) got a goal from Julia Taliana in the 14th minute, and that goal would hold up for the rest of the match.
Each team head seven shots. St. Norbert would put four shots on goal in total, with three coming in the second half, but couldn't get onto the scoresheet.
Lilly Collins made three saves for St. Norbert, while Hailey Flannagan made four stops for the Scarlet Hawks.
